Regina/Evil Queen faces her death and fights back

I think the character of the Evil Queen is pretty badass as it is – it takes nerve to do the things that she has, with no regrets and very few faults in her plans, she had absolute control for a good long while before the good guys inevitably started their attack on her.

This scene is especially badass as it shows that even as Regina faces her death she will put on a brave face. She doesn’t care what anyone thinks of her. In truth, she couldn’t care less if she tried. This is who she is and she’s proud of that. As this is all before Henry and the mellowing out that comes with being a mother, she’s only out for herself. Why not go out with a bang?

It takes guts to do all the things she has with such conviction and doubtlessness. There wasn’t really any point in her reign as the Evil Queen where she doubted herself or her plan – except when she’s with her father, that is. He symbolised the last bit of her humanity, so when she forgoes him in pursuit of the curse, you know she means business.

This is a real f**k you moment, and I really respect her for it. It’s pretty badass to face death right in the face and not give a dam. She remained true to her and her mission and that’s all that matters. I really respected her here, even if she goes on a bit about how she want to kill more people especially Snow blah blah blah. She’s a villain: she’s allowed one last evil monologue.
